Wilgard Hübschmann plays a guitar built by Edmund Blöchinger from Dorfen, near Munich.

Blöchinger is an extraordinary guitar maker with a vast knowledge of and sensitivity for the wood he uses for his guitars. He fells spruce trees himself, which he uses for the surfaces. It seems as though he can sense the tones which will later be produced by the instrument.

Wilgard Hübschmann has christened her guitar “La Luminosa”, as it is made out of reddish yew wood and its brightly shimmering surface seems to shine out from within.
